The Marriage of True Minds.....

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixéd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose Worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom:
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
-
William Shakespeare

Day before yesterday, I was watching a movie on HBO or Star Movies..I not sure which channel, as I am not a TV Buff…and the Movie was called “Much Ado About Nothing”…I read this comic novel once but never got touched by the moral of the story or may be I didn’t get the theme ‘Right’ at that time or in other words I never had an experience of Love…

As I am a great fan on Shakespeare , I end up watching the film…and somewhere between the movie , there was a scene where the above sonnet was discussed by the two character (Hero n Heroine) of the film and that discussion sounded so convincing and related to me that I decided to share my views on the sonnet….

Yes, Indeed its Sonnet 116…I am not here to analyze the poem to sound as love guru...if you have ever been truly in love you can understand this sonnet word by word……trust me

Here goes my translation…
The first line act as intro to the poem which is followed by the actual content………
there should not be any reason that why two like minded people could not unite together..Love neither change with the changing circumstances nor with the any change in beloved and if it changes it wasn’t love…it’s a constant feeling which remain same even if everything changes...nothing and nobody can change it..it is strong and hold on through trials..it does not deviate, if someone tries to entice us away…It is an eternally fixed point which faces all kind of obstacles…always sail it through, no matter what..it is a kind of north star which act as a guide to the lost ship..Love is a constant guide to us as we sail it through life…Love does not operate on clock..it is an everlasting thing...beauty fades with time but love doesn't..it stays till last breath...
At the end poet says that if his finding and description on love is proved wrong, then he never wrote and no man has ever loved...or in other words if you haven't loved the way it is described, then you can't claim to have truly loved...

Moral of the poem...
Love is an absolute. It can defeat time, change and even death. It is the strongest feeling one could ever had.
